Ben Harmon
Ben was a 2016 graduate of Avon High School, where he was a varsity track and cross-country runner as well as one of the top students in his class, ranking 17 out of almost 700 students. He was accepted as a direct admit to the engineering program at Purdue University, where he spent only one semester before he passed away at 20 years old. Ben had a profound impact on everyone who knew him. People would describe him as optimistic, energetic, selfless, and fearless. Ben was known for his big smile and his goofy, witty sense of humor.
Julia Harmon
Ben’s little sister Julia is a second-year student here at Butler University. She is a biochemistry major on the pre-medical school track with minors in Spanish and medical Spanish. She is also a student-athlete on the Butler University Dance Team. Julia was inspired by her brother’s courageous battle with Ewing’s Sarcoma to study medicine.
